For example, if it costs you $100 to build a product it doesn't make sense to sell it for $75. In the case of an e-book, the production costs are close to zero dollars. So you do have some degree of pricing flexibility.

Keep in mind that e-books are all about perceived value. I'm not trying to suggest that you're selling something worthless your customers -- that's far from the truth. What I am instead suggesting is that you use the fact that you have some pricing flexibility to give people a discount and thereby encourage more sales.
